2023 ABA Ladies Retreat
Hosted by Greenfield Community Church, Edmonton
Join us this Spring for a time or rest and renewal together with other ladies from the ABA.
Retreat Theme:
Using the metaphors of plowing, planting and cultivating, we will look at the spiritual rhythms that link themselves to the spring season. Soul care is a vital part of tending to our inner life. Through practices such as self-examination, we will look at habits we can put into place to produce fruit in our lives. Our prayer is that it will be a weekend that brings healing and resilience to our souls. Some of the content for the weekend will be based on Mark Buchanan's book, Spiritual Rhythms.
Our main speaker will be Deb Judas:
Deb’s great passion is to help people discover what it means to live holistically and lead with depth and self-awareness. She loves to work with leaders and organizations, offering soul care and leadership development.
With spiritual formation at the core of leadership development, Deb provides various learning opportunities for people to nurture all aspects of wellness and leadership. She offers teaching, retreats, workshops, coaching and consulting, all uniquely designed for each person and organization.
Deb is a graduate of the Centre for Spiritual Formation with a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Carey Theological College, Vancouver, BC. For the last 25 years, she has been involved in church planting, next generation leadership development and pastoring in various roles. Most recently, she is working as the Director of Formation for Forge Canada, pastoring at a local church in Surrey, BC, and she is the Director of Formation with the NAB Missional Initiatives team.
In her spare time, Deb throws herself wholeheartedly into her family, tennis, cycling and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. She currently lives with her husband Walt in the Surrey, British Columbia. They have 3 grown children (2 married) and 2 adorable grandchildren.
We look forward to gathering with you and creating space to rest, and renewed by the deep love of Jesus.
