Hosted by McKernan Baptist Church
We are excited to invite you to join with men from the ABA for a time of rest, fun and connection. Our theme this year, "REFUEL" and invitation for us to check the gauges of our lives to see where we are running too close to empty, to know where we should go to get the right fuel we need, and to look ahead at the road God is inviting us to travel.
The ABA Men’s retreat is designed to be one of down-time, rest, fun and connection. Opportunities are offered for men to connect with God and one another, to grow in friendship as well as in their relationship with Jesus. Camp Caroline sits in the beautiful foothills of Alberta and has an inviting facility with an indoor pool, hot-tub, full size gym and great sitting areas. You won’t be disappointed investing in this weekend away.
Come with an expectation to rest, have fun, and reconnect with God and others. Feel free to bring your favourite games and snacks, and any winter outerwear you may require as there will be opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. If you want to use the gymnasium, appropriate non marking footwear is required, plus a sense of humour and a willingness to compete. If you’re planning on playing water sports or doing laps, or relaxing in the hot tub, bring your swimwear and towel. Additional things to bring: Your Bible, notebook or journal and a desire to spend time in God’s word, in worship, in prayer and reflection.
Thank you for considering registering for the 2023 ABA Men's Retreat. We look forward to seeing you there!

About our Guest Speaker: Pastor Tim Pippus has had the privilege of serving as a pastor with Hope For Life since 2008. He is the proud husband of Laura and father to Emily, Abigail and Elizabeth. You can often find Tim enjoying a good book (of any kind!) with coffee in hand, cheering on his beloved Calgary Flames, seeking out moments of quiet, binging podcasts and playing sports. Tim can be easily coaxed into both philosophical and practical discussions and loves wrestling with the larger issues of life. He's a learner and deeply invested in helping others learn (not just know about). Above all, Tim is deeply passionate about engaging day-to-day life as an apprentice of Christ and seeking to bring the life-changing hope of the Kingdom wherever he finds himself.
