The pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader of Hilda Baptist Church, providing biblically grounded preaching and teaching for most Sundays throughout the year. The role includes shepherding the congregation through visitation, prayer, counselling, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral care ministries. As the church's sole staff member, the pastor also carries administrative and governance responsibilities, participating in board, committee, congregational, denominational, and community meetings. The successful candidate will model a Christ-centered life, work collaboratively with church leaders, equip others for ministry, and maintain a healthy balance between personal, family, and ministry commitments. The pastor must affirm the church's doctrinal statements and work closely with church leadership, the Alberta Baptist Association, and other local ministry partners to support the church's mission and vision.
