The association of these NAB churches in Alberta (ABA) is driven by a Kingdom perspective, which acknowledges and celebrates the fact that making disciples is a responsibility that goes far beyond the activities of my local church. We believe that faithfulness to Christ's commission means that helping a sister church make disciples is part of carrying out Christ's commission in my church.

ABA Baptist Association Ministry Staff & Family Retreat

Come join us for our Annual Alberta Baptist Association (ABA) Ministry & Staff Family Retreat :)

Please mark your calendars Sun Feb 5 through to Wed Feb 8 for this exceptional event. Registrations always go fast, so consider adjusting your family's schedules, filling out a registration form (already sent to your church office), and emailing/faxing our ABA office straight away! ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 780.434.9170 fax)... If you can't find your form, let me know and I'll get one to you straight away!

Please note your room allocation is first come first served. And guess what? If you haven't heard, the New Lodge is open! And is it ever beautiful with really comfy mattresses being situated along the creek with a lovely view of the tree line.

If you haven't been to Camp Caroline (CC) before, you won't want to miss out on experiencing this fun and relaxing getaway with other families of our ABA churches. Just to mention a few blessings of CC, there's a swimming pool, gymnasium, games room, fireplace, outside activities (can you say "tubing?"), a quiet chapel, and acres of beautiful land to explore. Did I mention the meandering creek?

If you are bringing children, we have a wonderful children's program for grade 1 to 6 hosted by Vanguard College's "Kids Travel Company."  They are prayerfully putting their program together, so please hold them in your prayers. Childcare will also be available for ages 0 to Kindergarten. We're still working out the details for this age group; and if you have a teenager interested in playfully caring for these precious little ones, please let me know. An honorarium will be offered for their ministry.

This year we will be blessed with our guest speaker Dr. Roger Helland of the Baptist General Conference in Alberta speaking on "Ministry from the Inside Out: Spirituality & Service." For more information about Roger, take a look at his bio on the attached brochure and feel free to check out his blog http://missionalspirituality.com

See you there!
